Brief:

Steinworks were commissioned by Phillip Osman Garden Design on the Homebase sponsored Show Garden at the 2006 Hampton Court Palace Flower Show to design a stainless steel Pergola.

Product - External Sculpture:

I worked with the oval shapes designed in the perimeter wall of the garden and decided that circles in the pergola would give a visual balance to the ovals when softened by curvy flowing lines.

My aim was to use a traditionally harsh, industrial material and form a sturdy but sympathetic form to blend with organic shapes.

The Pergola is marine grade stainless steel.
It measures 4m long x 2m wide x 2m high.

Further bespoke designs in all sizes are available to commission.
